About World of Solitaire

World of Solitaire is a free browser-games site run by a small independent team of game fans. We collect solitaire variants from around the world and a set of mahjong solitaire layouts, and we keep the whole collection playable without an account.

What the site offers

You will find the familiar games and the less familiar ones: Klondike and Spider next to Scorpion, Yukon, Forty Thieves, FreeCell, and regional variants we picked up along the way. The mahjong section holds the classic turtle layout and a range of others, from tight, small boards to wide ones that take a while to clear.

How games are chosen

• We play each game ourselves on a computer and on a phone before it goes up. If the cards are hard to read on a small screen or the drag feels wrong, it does not make the cut.
• We keep a kid-friendly selection: clear card faces, calm colors, and no content that needs explaining to a younger player.
• Nothing requires a sign-up. Open a game and play.

Rights stay with the developers

The people who build these games keep the rights to them. We host and present the games; we do not claim ownership of the code, the art, or the rulesets their makers created. If a developer asks us to change or remove something, we do.

We add games slowly, when we find one worth the space. If a variant from your part of the world is missing, tell us about it.
