What this site is and how playing works

world of solitaire is a free online collection of solitaire games, mahjong solitaire, and card games. Everything runs in your browser. There is no download and no account to create. Open a game, and it deals. The games work on a phone and on a computer; the layout adjusts to the screen you have. You can start a new deal, undo a move, or restart at any time. Some games are quick, some take longer. You can leave a game and come back to the page later. Nothing is installed on your device.

The kinds of games here

The games here are a short tour of solitaire and mahjong, with a few arcade stops along the way. Start with Falling Blocks, where pieces drop and you fit them into rows. Durak is the Russian card game of attacking and defending, played one card at a time. Spider Evolution builds columns from king down to ace. Mahjong 3D Match sets the classic tile-matching puzzle in three dimensions. Tile Match Explorer sends you looking for pairs across a board of tiles.

Each one is a place to begin, not a rule to follow.

A few games to start with, each a different port of call. Falling Blocks is the falling-piece puzzler, and Spider Evolution is spider solitaire with more than one table to try. Safety and fair play

You do not need to sign up to play. The games come from independent developers, and each one is presented as it was made. Some games show a short ad inside the game, often before a round starts; that is how the developers keep them free. There are no accounts, no personal details required, and no downloads. Play at your own pace, and use the restart or undo buttons when a deal goes wrong.
